Falafel

 Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 20 minutes | Serves: 3

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas (400g)
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 1 handful fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 3 tablespoon of plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking power

Method:

1. Using a processor, blend all ingredients except baking powder and flour in chunky paste before adding the last 2 ingredients to form into patties.
2. Brush patties with oil and place patties on Crisp & Cook basket.
3. Set at 190°C and AIR CRISP for 20 mins (Flip over halfway, after 10 mins). Serve.

Tahini dip:

(Tahini Dip made with peanut butter as a dupe for Tahini)

  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Salt to taste
Or
  • Yogurt dip
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 whole Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped dill
  • Ground black pepper & salt to taste
